Hi, wondering if anyone may recognize the origins of this coin. Diameter is 29mm.

Not Egyptian. If you use the search function here, and search the term "temple token," you'll probably find some similar among the results.

Yes, not Egyptian, but Indian. A similar token was asked about recently http://goccf.com/t/339004
Your token looks very similar to this https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces45562.html ... but is yours made of silver?

The older ones were made in silver, then they became silver plated. Really modern ones are often much smaller and cheaply made of brass or aluminum.
