Your looking in the strong areas for doubled dies on this series. The doubled dies are on the earlobe and the center of the design on the reverse: (No South Carolina DDOs, but there is a North Carolina examples)

Take a look at these images and you will see where most of the obverse doubled dies are on the States quarters and the ATB Quarters. Not on the outside devices, just the earlobes on these.

Thank you. I spent hours over few days going over many gold quarters. I was under impression that they had no real value.

True. They were plated and a true collector wants an unaltered surface. No premium for these. Just sold to feed the fever craze of the 50 States quarters. Today, the collections are probably, mostly spent by now.
