Just a sever case of die deterioration/die wear on your nickel. While they look impressive, they are not a doubled die. Just a VLDS (Very Late Die State) when your coin was struck. Do can I tell? Note the devices are wider near the rim area and thinner at the part of the device towards the center. The heavy die flow on the fields. and the devices flowing into the rim area. The reverse die is a bit fresher than the obverse. (LDS) But an example of extreme die wear, not a doubled die.

On the 1960-2003-D The last year there was a DDO was 1968. Nothing from Denver since then.
