1945-S Mercury Dime Inverted S? Must Have Been One Of The Last Minted

Thanks Macmercury, my Variety vista does not include the MMS-006 I have a 1942-S Mercury with the same Mint mark Style. I have a set of about 90 Mercury dimes. I think the previous collector was pretty astute with dies and stuff. Some neat stuff. Is this the same deal as the 1945-S

The 45 s posted is not IMM. It is also not the same as 1942 s IMM. The 45 has an inverted knob S while the 42 has a serif s. These are two
distinctly different mint marks. While the 45 s IMM does not create much excitement in the numismatic world, the momentum is growing. I have sold several over the years. Average price for a circulated example is $40. I have been getting closer to $100 for uncirculated examples. From my own research I have concluded that the IMM is scarcer than the Micro and just about as scarce as the Trumpet (another unsung variety waiting in the sidelines for their day to shine)

Must of skip my radar, all varieties is based on demand, and if there's no demand...it just goes quiet until then. It can be a long wait as just carl says.

Besides the 1945 Micro S, there are two larger S mintmarks. This is from "The Complete Guide To Mercury dimes".
