I am new to collecting and am dumbfounded by opening on the forehead/field...is this a die error? I cannot find anything/anyone, so far, to help with this issue. which is preventing me from sending out to certify/grade this coin. thank you for any information about this.

To CCF! I can't tell what that is. I am not sure. Maybe the other members will chime in and know what it is?

You don't have to post full obverse and reverse pictures, but it's highly recommended though. It will make things much easier.

This is just a guess, so don't take my word for it, but maybe it's Machine Doubling?

to CCF. Can you get different angles of that photo? It is somewhat shadowed.

I am thinking just MD and LDS as well...

But I would definitely take a look at that RPM on the reverse and see if you can match it up.
