Well, I just got home from the auction, and boy do I have some things to show off. I figured I would start a new thread instead of using eaglefoot's new aquisitions thread. As I get pics of everything I will post them, but first off I cant seem to find this baby anywhere. I hope it isn't a reproduction, but I figured I will get some opinions.

Here is an 1861 silver 3cn in AU. I picked this up for $90, I think I got a good deal, but I am pretty new to the 2 & 3 cent coins...
Oh, and by the way, if any of you see my girlfriend, please don't tell her how much I spent. (I went a tad over budget...)

I'm sorry to say, I believe it's a reproduction. I like 3 cent silvers--yours looks to have had a cleaning, but it's still a good date in my book!

It also looks like the 3 cent has been bent at one time. From the photo just above the "A" in States and above the "A" in America.

Or is it just the way the photo looks?
Rest in Peace

Yea, the token is junk. I googled it and emailed a guy that seemed to know what he was talking about, and he confirmed what I suspected.

The 3 cent has a dent in the center of the reverse, that you can see across the III. I didn't notice it until I got it under the QX5. I will have to inspect it better, but right now we have contractors walking in and out of our apartment all day because they are fixing the foundation, so I had to pick up all of my coins and bury them in the closet. I think this stuff is near the top, so I might pull it out tonight and get some more pics up.
