Really need the weight and size of these tetradrachms. As well as an edge view. Here is a first guess: PTOLEMAIC EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285/4-246 BC). AR tetradrachm . Alexandria. Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck; bankers marks in right field / ΠTOΛEMAIOY-BAΣIΛEΩΣ, eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; Σ monogram to left, Svoronos 548.HID05401242017 https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=5196305

From the photograph, it seems to show some signs of casting, but it is hard to tell. A good picture, along with the measurements will be important in making a determination. Something I can see immediately is that the radial cracks appear to be filled, which occurs in casting, but this might just be due to the picture.

Thanks thus far, I went ahead and bought it based on no one calling it an outright fake and will post dimensions and weight when received along with more pictures. It was from an ebay seller whose description is consistent and appears to specialize in ancients with good feedback and has a authenticity guarantee. Here is the original listing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/PTOLEMAIC-...refresh=true

Looks like the rest of their stock doesn't raise any red flags - a good pick up! That eagle looks good, not the corn-on-the-cob style they devolve into for the later Ptolemys.

Love the eagle on these coins but that dude won't win any beauty contests...
Good price and pickup.

That seller has some excellent photography skills to get all the detail in. Width and weight seem fine, but I'm still concerned about that crack infront of the eagle's legs. Is that filled in, or is the crack just angled?

These latest pics were taken by me, with no special equipment or lighting (or special skills). The crack you see is not filled in, just angled. I was surprised at the very high relief on the coin, pretty interesting. Can I presume it appears genuine?
