New member here. I got this coin the other day. I have always collected Morgan's and don't have much knowledge to older gold coins like this. This is by far my favorite coin in my collection. Any input on the grade would be appreciated. I was also wonder how rare this coin is and if its worth sending in to get graded. Thanks for your help!

.... to the Community! We look forward to your continued active participation.

I would guesstimate your coin would grade somewhere close to XF40.

Nice pick up!

It could just be the lighting. I am no professional photographer by any means. It seems to have a lot of luster but I had to take the pictures in a darker setting because it was putting of a glare.

Value is around $1,000. Having it graded is up to you, but it would make it more salable in the future. I am not an expert on this series but it does not appear to be fake, others can better evaluate.

I'm thinking XF-45. Might be cleaned. Not 100% sure based on the photos.

Agree AU-50 sharpness but these flat pics give little clue to the true surfaces.
