I found this 1970 penny with nickel printed on the front and back. I tried to post pix but wasn't able to. I've been on here before and trust that y'all know what you are talking about. Well most of y'all. When I tried to upload the images it kept saying they only accept certain sizes or something. I'm not very computer savvy but would like to be able to talk with y'all on here. I actually have many different coins that I think would be good conversations if I can just figure out how to work this site or forum and upload pix.

There is an image optimizer that you can use to bring your images down to size.

Have you read the tutorial on uploading photos (see box at upper right side of this page)?

@TJ, since you've been here before you know that we really want to see pics before commenting too much. You probably also know that most of the time when someone has a coin that appears to have parts of a second strike, it invariably is either a vise job or an impression made in glue that has subsequently dried.

I hope that you can figure out the photo optimizer and show us what you've got!

Without photos, not a whole lot we can do for you. Assuming it's a real error, my guess is that it was struck on the wrong stock, but like I said, no way of knowing until we actually see the coin. While you're at it, I would suggest weighing it. Might be important in helping us help you.

Question: Are the devices (letters and date) mirrored? If so then it is not a mint error.

I have a feeling we will not be hearing from the OP again. Just a hunch.

Nope, not a genuine U.S. Mint error. Just glue residue stuck on the reverse. Two coins were glued together at one time. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD). It's a spender.

Hey y'all! Yes I read the tutorials (they were helpful and very straight forward which I appreciate) I am still playing with the photo optimizer thing. But I think I did upload a couple pix on here. Thanks for your responses. Yes, because I have been on this site before I know that pictures are a must. So I will continue to get myself familiar with this site.

Keep at it, and remember, you can use the "Preview" button to be sure your pics are the right size and correctly oriented before posting.
