These two came as part of a job lot. All of the other pieces were recognisably Colombian, Argentinian or Chilean.
These two don't fit quite so neatly although I have seen similar type faces used on Mitad tokens, particularly from an area with German settlers.

You are probably close with your assessment since seems alot of ex pat from World War II settled or escaped to South America towards the end of the war.

Yeah, Germans went to S. America post WWII because there were already large German enclaves in many of those countries.

These tokens pre-date 1939 by a long way. I'd estimate, going on style and size, that they're close on 100 years old.

Top token 29.5 mm
Lower token 32 mm.
