Remnants of an Encased Cent - a lucky penny piece. The coin was struck into the center of a holed aluminum planchet with business information on one side and a lucky penny inscription on the other side by a private company.

I see far too many of these for them to be from ( Encased Cents), what else could it be?

Hi,

They are from Encased Cents. There's no mystery involved. The one you showed was also appears to have been plated at one point which is another indication that it was part of some sort of souvenir piece that was encasing the cent.

Thanks,
Bill
