Hi. I am curious if the serrations/indentations on the reverse side of this 81 O Morgan silver dollar can be elaborated? A few letters show some doubling. I considered them dings until I looked closer to metal flow. Any help is much appreciated. I can provide more pictures of obv, rev, and edges.

Yes, that was the closest thing I could find. Somebody offered me a larger sum than expected. They said they are chop marks and I am baffled as I am accustom to Trade dollars. Feels like I am missing something on this coin. I cannot locate my original purchase slip (shame on me) to see what I have in it. I anticipate $105 offer from buyer is what is making me look deeper into any other missed visuals. Thank you for your response and hope we can connect more often to do business or share information. I am on the same page as you.

Serrations, indentations, doubling, dings, chop marks, "do business"... I wish I could figure out what you're asking. It sounds like someone is offering you more than you expected so now you're wondering if you should be asking for more because of something that you don't see?
