I've thrown several back tonight that I was sure were MD or DDD. This one though caught my attention. Have I been looking at these things too long? the G in God really caught my attention.

Plus my image quality has something to be desired I think...

with Machine Doubling. I'm not seeing the extra thickness or notching that a typical shield cent DDO would have.

Look at the centers of the devices. Not on the edges of devices. On Machine Doubling the MD can be seen on any outside edge. On the Die Deterioration Doubling, it can be seen on the sides of the devices (on the fields) in the direction of the closest rim. But a doubled die enlarges the centers of the devices. So stop looking at the edges of the devices.

Note how the doubling enlarges the centers of the devices like an over inflated bike tube? That is where to look. Not on the edges of the devices.
