to the forum!

Looks like feeder finger scrapes. A common type of die damage.

Awesome! I had never heard of or seen this before until a recent video about a dime with similar markings but more severe. Are these uncommon? Or noone cares? Lol. Because I think I have 2 or 3 other coins aside with similar yet less obvious or dramatic markings.

They're pretty common, but this is a nice example.

There is no premium for them, but they are of interest. So you may want to save it for educational purposes for new collectors you train.

Thanks for the welcome!! Ive been collecting on and off for many years but recently got my nephew interested and its sparked a new passion in me. Decided to focus on coin roll hunting for varieties and errors and silver search the banks as well. Ive been lurking a while but usually can ID what I find so I dont post much. More and more though I'm enjoying the coin community aspect though and like being more involved. Sooooo yea...lol...youll be seein me around....

Great. My goal here is to not give yes or no answers. I try to show what I see on their coin. That way when they see this again on another coin, they will know what it is. I also use a lot of images. On my host I have 9,633 images on my image host. I use them a lot and make several new ones each day. I've edited probably over 100K images through the years. (Been at it for close to 25 years) Images just take trying to explain something out of the picture so they can see what I'm talking about easier. Don't forget my main search link CoopHome. Note it is blue? Click on it and it will take you to pages of links to other posts I've made or added information. It make the search a lot easier. various subjects. Probably some you have never considered yet, or have questions about. See you around here a lot.
