Howdy from West 'By GOD' Virginia!
I was the primary care giver to my 107 year old aunt that passed away a couple of years ago and finally getting around to going through stuff. She left me a bunch of old coins in an inheritance and I'd like to figure out the value. I'll be making frequent stops here until I sort through them if yall don't mind.
The 1st one is a "1817 50 cent Capped Bust" but what is strange is an error in the stamp. Under the '7' it looks like it was meant to be a '3'
Thanks for any help! <><

If you post pics of the back we can help grade and approximate value. It does look like yours was cleaned.

Thank you GrapeCollects. Sorry. If it's too dark I can take another shot.

VF30 Details looks like the front was cleaned and that stain on the back isn't great but could be removed via conservation (professionals).

Value: ~$400-$500

No, I'm pretty sure it's never been cleaned. The bright center front is from the flash of the camera. I'll take another shot.

Here ya go. This is a better shot of the front.
I've got a few more coins to show in the next few days. If anyone could give me an estimate I sure would appreciate it.
And how would I go about selling these coins?
I'd be very grateful for any advice!
