I don't see it but I really don't know what I'm looking for as far as die polishing marks go. Could someone please enlighten me?

I too believe these lines are Die Deterioration :) Bummer about the gashes on her face.

I agree with Raymo52 this coin is a great example of die erosion. The hits do take away from the coin. We've all been blinded by something not seen first due to things like the erosion on this one, missing the face hits could be a costly mistake on a high end coin. Learn from your mistakes and always check the entire coin (all three sides) with an unbiased mind and eye before pulling out the cash.
