*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***Apologies if I am not posting correctly. I keep hitting a dead end on a proof set I purchased. The prior owner didn't know much about it just that it had a sticky note on it saying Penny DDO. So it appears to be a 1970 S large date proof penny in the proof set holder. I can't seem to find any info apologies for bothering everyone my searches led me here on another penny but it was a small date DDO. To reiterate, I am probably dreaming but is this a Proof DDO 1970 S Large Date that apparently doesn't exist? Old sticky note just said Date DDO but I think I'm seeing it in the God We Trust and Liberty too? Sincerely Mike Ok I think I figured out to trying to upload a few pics! Figured out the resize! Here's a few more pics thanks folks Will try a date pic too later, it's failing the 300kb file size unfortunately... My iPhone just isn't cutting it but here's three more pics around the date thanks again all Edited by beomaster5500 02/21/2019 9:59 pm

Oh forgot to mention, looks like a DDO but the only web searches keep pointing to an elusive possibly pricey one and no proof exists? Probably dreaming but figured I'd ask! I keep just coming to this web site and this example posted there http://www.varietyvista.com/01b%20L...0SDDO001.htmThanks so much if anyone might have any thoughts or if I'm totally dreaming! Mike

The dual lighting hides what we need to see. Note both sides of the devices are reflecting. One light is better for close up micro images. Your coin is a large date proof cent.

Hey thanks! I thought I pegged it right as a large date proof not business strike as it's in the proof mint set holder? So the US mint called it proof and it's not?

Folks, I thank you so much as I'm perplexed on this! Coop! Thank you, I definitely didn't expect such a fast response. I'm not really into error coins, more older proofs, gold and civil war tokens standing liberties, morgan's etc...etc...
That's why I can't get a grip on this !
I'll try to take better pics so grateful for your help folks!

to CCF! Like coop, I can't tell because there is no closeup of the date, but it is definitely an LD proof.

to CCF beomaster5500. You may want to get one of those clip on magnifiers for your phone. Or if you have a point-n-shoot digital camera, set it to macro for close up pics. John1

Mike: if you can crop your images, you might be able to enlarge the images. Looking forward to see larger images.
