That shows Machine Doubling on it.

Good eye, but it is doubling from machine movement, not doubling from a die that is doubled.
Devices have been reduced in size leaving a shelf.
Also it is a large date.

to community. As mentioned your coin is a LD and has a very nice MD Machine Doubling,although it is not a true Doubled Die but it is definitely a keeper and there are those who collect it.

To CCF! You have a good example of Machine Doubling. This type of Machine Doubling is called Push Doubling.

Pretty much a spender. As already mentioned you can see the MD on the right sides of the digits. Not a doubled die. 1968-1972 cents had a lot of machine doubled examples. Even the 1969-S big DDO has a very large population of machine doubled doubled dies. So it is a common find. Over 100 plus machine doubled examples of the 1969-S cents were submitted to be given a MS-grade as a normal coin.
Welcome to the forum. One of the clues to machine doubled examples is when the date and the mint mark has the same metal movement in the same direction.
