Not a Cud. Just circulation wear and flattening that caused that faded spot.

 to CCF. Looks like solder,maybe a pin was soldered like for a tie tack.Please rotate photos properly before posting and a little more cropping please.Thanks. John1

Right, something was once attached in that area. Perhaps it was a cuff link or tie tack?  to the CCF!

I agree with the others who said the raised area in the center was solder, I suspect it was once used as a cufflink.
