If anyone likes heavy toning on a Washington this one fits the bill.

I "rescued" it from a large batch of "junk silver" at work. HAD to have it.

Is there a "D" or "S" hiding behind that toning ?

Excuse my ignorance everyone but I haven't figured out the quote function yet so in response.

eaglefoot,

It WAS tough and lonely but I felt I had a duty to rescue this poor thing.

logan_seeley.

Man I thought I smelled some hate!

1sikevo,

Wishfull thinking my friend

I have actually found both the S and D in junk silver at work. BIG find was a 1916-D Mercury dime.

People bring in a lot of silver and it goes through the counter. If I get a chance I do a search later.

Generally if I see rather worn coins I tell the boss I want to set them aside for later. A lot of it just ends up in a bucket without being searched.

1sikevo,

Didn't say I kept it. I found it.

Belonged to my boss not me. He sent it to NGC and it came back as G4. Then HE sold it for $825.

All that I find is his stuff. He paid for it. I did get the quarter pictured for $10 and also bought the 32D and S for $100 each as I had a buyer for those.

Find some good stuff but usually pass on it. Now THAT'S the hard part.
