1974 D LMC Unusual MM

I have a 1974 D LMC on which the MM looks slightly tipped. The MM in the top image looks vertical while the MM on the bottom looks tilted a few degrees. All my other 1974 D LMC are similar to top image. Are my 70 year old eyes deceiving me?

Yes this is pretty common with coins from dies which had hand-applied mintmarks. Sometimes they are at a slight angle while other times they are in slightly different locations. Unless it is at a crazy angle (e.g. sideways), there is not a numismatic premium.

Since mintmarks were punched in by hand until 1990, the locations of the mintmark varied everytime.
