I don't know what exactly is up on these things, but either way it's pretty close to 180 degree rotation.

Indeed it is. Shame about the condition. No idea of value.

Put it on ebay as "rare medal orientation IHC"

No ebay for this one. I'm not concerned about the condition as it is going in my collection. I have a few rotated dies as I like them and am adding this one.

Based on what I'm seeing you rotated the coin the wrong way, in this case side to side (known as medal turn).
US coins need to be rotated top to bottom for both sides to appear upright.

Kanga - Sorry, this coin as shown in the holder is clearly rotated 180 degrees. A normal alignment would show the reverse upside down.

That's really interesting. It's hard to believe they could get 180 degrees out.

I didn't do a mirror pic for this one but just used three staples to make the up/down clear as to which way it goes. And it maybe is a bit existential to say that images on the board should be posted right side up but the reverse for this coin is right side up only when it is upside down.

There is no problem here. Just turn your monitor upside down and every thing would be normal.
I is a shame that coin is in such poor condition. Such a rotation would bring some good money to error collectors.
