Anyone else buy the Rocketship set that went on sale today? I bought two since I have two young boys, but wish I could have bought another one or two for them to play with. Seems like a weird household limit. I guess they didn't want someone to corner the market, as if it was going to be a hot item.
It's a little expensive considering the price of the coins but my boys will definitely appreciate a glow in the dark rocket ship on their dresser.

I just picked up two. You never know, there might end up being something special? Who knows? If not, they will make a good Christmas gift for a couple of kids.

I just don't understand the 50k product limit on this. Why does a product that is supposedly designed to try and interest new young collectors have a 50k limit? The Mint wants to interest only 50K new collectors? IMHO you don't get kids interested in collecting by telling them, well you could have gotten this really neat product if you (or your parents, or grandparents) had been more on the ball and ordered it before it sold out. After hearing that, they'll just go back to playing video games.

Yeah, it seems counterproductive.

I got my rocketship sets yesterday. I didn't have much time to look at them because I wanted to hide them from my boys until gift time, but it looked pretty cool. The coins really stood out from the white background of the rocket. Haven't checked to see how it looks when glowing in the dark. Overall, for the price, I think its a pretty cool gift.

Quote: Bids are strong on the Bay Makes absolutely zero sense why someone would pay $22-40 for something they could get direct from the source for $9.95....

Quote:ebay bucks, they have an ebay coupon etc. This makes some sense. I guess some folks might be just trying to spend ebay bucks before they expire. Quote: Also a lot of people just refuse to deal with the mint for good reason and would rather pay a little bit more to avoid it. Quite possible but that doesn't make sense to me. Why would I (or anyone) spend 3-4x for a set that's still available on the Mint and is likely the castoffs of of someone's cherry pickings? I don't and can't pretend to know what or how people think. However, I base my statements off of logic, common sense, simple financial considerations. Perhaps I'm too simple.
