Remember guys that I said I would be asking some newbie questions! I have a 1982 Lincoln weighing 3.1 grams- that means there is no copper over zinc layer. So- no dust particles under a zinc layer. What would cause this? Small date or Large date? Please let me know-

I'm not sure that we can say why it was put into acid, but this surface texture looks similar to coins that have undergone this indignity.

The rippled effect on the obverse can also be caused by a rotating wire wheel.
