I ordered the silver Thomas Jefferson medal when I placed my Apollo order on January 25th. I received a package with all the Apollo items, but the Jefferson medal was shipped separately. As of today, that package still shows "Out for Delivery" on USPS tracking.
I put in a lost mail request with the USPS. They have not responded to me (except for a survey about how my service was.)
I sent in a Non-Delivery of Item form to the Mint on February 15th. How long does it take for the Mint to respond. It says 4-6 weeks, but this is the first time I've had to do this. Just wondering what others experiences have been. Will they send another medal or just refund my money? "Nummi rari mira sunt, si sumptus ferre potes." - Christophorus filius Scotiae

Go to your local USPS and ask a supervisor where your "out for delivery" package is

I need to drop off a package there in the morning anyway. I'll do that, FM. Thanks.

For any interested, an update on this issue.
I received a letter from the Mint stating that they are going to refund my purchase price for the Jefferson medal since the package never went to "delivered" status. I got an email from the USPS on Saturday (5 weeks after I submitted the lost mail request) saying that they are going to search for my lost package. After this long, I'm sure it's lost or in someone else's possession.

Geesh. What an ordeal. So that being said, you won't be getting a Thomas Jefferson medal or do you just have to reorder once you are refunded. (Be you so bold?)

This is the first hiccup I've experienced with a Mint order, so I wouldn't be worried about ordering again. I purposely waited until 1/25 to place this order so I could combine the Apollo stuff with this medal and save on shipping. If I reorder, I'll have to pay another shipping charge.
I purchased the Washington and Adams medals and was planning on completing the set, but this has made me rethink that and I may unload the two I have and decide not to shell out north of $1000 for a set. Don't know yet.

I'd talk to the person you reorder from and plead your case. I bet they don't charge you shipping again. If the reorder gets lost I'd say the set wasn't meant to be.

About 7 weeks out with this issue. Got another survey from USPS asking how the service "was" on my inquiry. To this day, the only correspondence I've had from USPS is the first survey 3 weeks ago and the email about 2 weeks ago stating that they are going to look for my package. I'm a live-and-let-live guy, but I have to say our postal service leaves very much to be desired in recent years. On another note, I've decided that this is an omen for me to bail out of the Presidential medals program. Anybody want to buy a Washington and Adams?...

It only took eight weeks, but Jeff showed up in my mailbox tonight. The package was open but the medal was there in undamaged OGP. Curious where he spent all this time, perhaps on the floor of a mail truck?

Well holy crap! A happy ending. Congratulations. Do you think you'll finish the set now?

Don't plan on moving forward with this set. May pick up the most interesting ones at shows or stores. I definitely want to get the van Buren and Jackson since I like HTTs.

.....or a potentially sticky fingered employee of the postal service had a change of conscience and brought it back.
