Thanks Jlam. There were a over 800 of them, including a lot of silver. I picked the best for the set and the rest still reside in a safe place in my home.

I have a few Kennedy halves but haven't been serious about collecting them yet. I plan on it eventually. I like to look at them and remember the good ole days. I was a teenager.

Well, the most epic thread in CCF history (1662 pages as of today) is all about JFK.

For what it is worth, I do have a JFK set spread across three Dansco albums.

I collect the Kennedy halves but limit them to silver issues. I add the silver proof set each year to maintain the collection.

They're big, they have a timeless (not trendy or gimmicky) design, and they are readily available in medium/high MS for most dates, even in bank boxes. I have never spent more than face/melt for one, but I see the appeal. They are my favorite modern after nickels.

They're a great way to get kids started in the hobby. Kids love big coins.

Nice one, TJLang...

I certainly collect them -- very much enjoy the series. I'm glad they're still produced for collectors.
