Somebody has this coin for sale locally and I would like to know if it's MS or AU details (due to rim damage)
I would also Kline to know a value.

AU - Damage, not a VDB and I doubt if it's even a proof coin. Just my opinion.

Can you show a photo of the edge sides. This one looks like it was pressed into and removed one of those "lucky penny holders" with these crushed rims.

I can't get a photo of the side because it's not my coin.

Google "1909 Lincoln proof diagnostics" - there are several "MUST" die characteristics for all dates of Matte Proof Lincolns.

The rims are huge! It may have been worked into a piece of jewelry judging by the rim damage. There is a slight chance it's a proof but the diagnostics are 100% required.

Even if it was a proof I would stay away . A proof coin should not have messed up rims .

Probably not a proof and certainly not a VDB.
