Not an error. PMDLooks like it may have been heated causing the coin to bubble. Remember- It is only an error if it happens in the striking chamber, anything after that is just damage.

Sorry @AB, but I agree with @jimmyD on this one. This dime is a spender.

Often coins like this are from a house fire. These can reach 1100 degrees, cause the different metals to stretch and form a bubble.

Were are here to help you to learn. No matter how many strikes it takes. Some were have to go into extra days, rather than extra innings before the light comes on.

The great thing about searching change (or rolls) is that you never strike out. You get 10 dimes for a buck and take a couple minutes looking them over. If you find nothing you have lost nothing. If you find something it only cost you 10cents. An added bonus is if you keep coming to this site you will get to know some interesting folks who know a lot about coins and enjoy helping you learn.

All great points and just straight forward advice without patronizing those of us who are on the more novice side of coin collecting. Honestly if any of you need any advice in your heavy metal vinyl collecting or investments please feel free to ask I'm your man! Haha I know it sounds crazy but they are very similar hobbies either that or I'm just weird...Cheers!
