Some commemoratives are counterfeited although I don't see why anyone would counterfeit a Pilgrim one as it is one of the least valuable ones - especially the 1920.

In the Swiatek/Breen book on Commemoratives they do talk about and show counterfeit Pilgrim half dollars.

Personal thought here. I don't buy from all sales final sellers personally because any dealer, and thats what these auctioneers are, should stand behind their coins. I have stood behind everything I have ever sold on ebay, just a thought

Pay with PayPal or a credit card with buyer protection.
Don't say anything about it, just do it.
These methods will protect you from the seller's bad policy.

Checking a sellers feedback never hurts and can be an education
