John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 03/06/2019 04:55 am A dime weighs 2.5 grams +/- mint tolerance. A cent weighs 3.1 grams +/- .13 grams. Because a lot of the surface is worn down,that would explain the weight loss of a copper cent. John1 Report this Post to the Staff
