1969-D Dime Missing Clad Layer

Besides a bit of a weak strike, here is my additional documentation:

Weight: 1.88 g. Expected Weight Missing 1 clad layer: 1.863 g +/- 0.091 g
Normal Dime Weight = 2.268 +/- 0.091 g
Width Varies from 1.16 mm @ D in UNITED to 1.17 mm E in DIME
Normal Dime Width = 1.35 mm
Clad Layer Thickness = 180.34 microns +/- 25.4 microns
Diameter = 17.85 mm Normal = 17.91 mm

Is the weight correct? To be missing a clad, it should be a bit lighter. The weakness is what you would expect to see on a coin missing a clad.

coop - I gave information in the OP on what the expected weight of a dime missing one clad layer should be. This coin is within tolerance of that expectation.

Dime Clad layer weight = 0.41 g +/- 0.07 g which is not information I mentioned because I thought it would be easy enough to calculate from what I gave - if anyone was interested.

Ok. I thought you were saying the weight was slightly higher than a normal coin. I mis-read.
