1970 S Lincoln Memorial Cent.. Just Another Lg Date? Or Small?

pocketmom New Member United States 23 Posts	Posted 03/09/2019 02:36 am Hello all and thanks for reading. I guess you could say I'm new to coin collecting and so far I'm not very good at it. I've been holding onto any S pennies I come across (IDK why...) so I thought I'd try differentiating the 1970 S Lg and Sm dates and this coin definitely is the hardest to rule out as a Lg date. It almost looks like it could be sm over lg or something.. but I'm no expert. Sorry for the pic quality I'm currently trying to get better ones. Report this Post to the Staff

briarmentrout Valued Member United States 244 Posts	Posted 03/09/2019 03:58 am This looks like large date to me... Notice the difference in height when comparing the 9 and 7. Also the inside loop of the 9 points down for the large date and in for the small date. Report this Post to the Staff
