Just found this in my bag of wheats from the last coin show I went to. This is the only RPM listed in the Cherrypicker's guide for the 1949 (as of my book's date) and is triple punched. Not a good condition coin, but it's a nice RPM.

I have yet to come across a triple.

If you have a coin show in your area, you might want to check dealer books for BU coins. (forget the circulated stuff. Get the better coins) They are just interested in selling the BU stuff. Buy and be happy with your BU coins. (that are varieties)

Thanks everyone. I do go to coin shows and the last one I went to (yesterday) there was almost no penny BU rolls.

Then ask if they they have BU coins for sale. (preferably Wheat cent and the pre-Zincoln's copper cents)

Excellent pull no matter the condition! Definitely not one that pops up often.
I have only pulled one of these in all the wheats I have been through , though I was blessed to be able to trade for a nice red unc. example.

Thanks. It does seem rather rare. I'm really happy to have pulled it from a random wheat bag, especially since it's my first 3 punched RPM.
