I am very new to coin collecting and am in great need of help. Especially when it comes to DDO / DDR. Can someone please help me with this coin. Is it a DDO or just shadowing? If so rough estimate on value. Thank you.

I don't see any notching or separation on your coin. There is a lot of glare in these images. It is possible that either this glare is obscuring the doubling, or the doubling you are seeing is the glare.

That's what I'm wondering. I'll try to upload better pictures.

I agree that less glare would be desirable. Maybe hold your light source further away from the coin? I know that taking pics of shiny coins is tough.

I have tried to min. glare - not much luck. But I the areas that I can determine are "raised" are the inside of the R and a small part of the U. The rest is glare - I think.

It is a tricky ordeal either looking at a Proof coin under magnifier in hand or under the Scope, you are usually dealing with glares around the parameter of the devices looking like doubling, that's most of what you have. Although not clearly visible the arrows are pointing at again, either glare of minor MD

You need to diffuse and have a lower watt light. I use a 14 watt bulb in my setup. It is a DC setup with 12 volts.

Thank you...The inside of the R is a circle darker in color and raised. Their is a similiar raiised area in the inside of the U. I have several Envelopes of proof coins. Some envelopes have PC on them others UC. Are these both proof sets? And is it better to leave them in yellowing plastic or transfer them to different holders?

I don't see anything unusual going on. It looks normal.
