This small coin measures 14mm. Depicts King Louie XVI. Can anyone possibly give me any other information on this coin? Year? Composition?

@USAFret, first welcome to CCF. Second, this is a jeton rather than a coin. In a quick interwebs search, I see similar pieces with "DAS BESTE JETON" on the reverse, but different obverses. Hopefully, someone will be around later today to give you more information.

I didn't know what a 'jeton' was so I did a search.

Jetons or jettons are tokens or coin-like medals produced across Europe from the 13th through the 17th centuries. They were produced as counters for use in calculation on a counting board, a lined board similar to an abacus.

Yep, it's a Nuremberg jeton; you can tell it's German-made, rather than French, because the language on the reverse is German. Nuremberg was famous as a centre of token and jeton manufacture, and their products were exported throughout Europe. While originally used on counting-boards, they were sold to anyone and everyone who needed coin-like substitutes. Most of their mid-to-late-19th century customers were card-gamers, who wished to both play cards and circumvent strict anti-gambling laws that prevented them playing for actual money.

With a portrait of Louis XVI of France, this jeton probably dates from the late 18th or early 19th century.
