"silver" 2000 Massachusetts P Quarter?

SorenJFlorescu New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 03/13/2019 11:26 pm Hi, so I was at work today and I busted open a roll of quarters from the safe we had and saw this. For a moment I thought it was a pre-1965 silver quarter but then when I looked at it it was a State Quarter. I've never seen anything like this in my life and googling it didn't give me much of a consensus, so I signed up here hoping one of y'all might have some information for me. Pauldog Valued Member United States 325 Posts	Posted 03/14/2019 02:12 am If it's clad, it should be under 5.7 gm, instead of 6.25 gm for a silver one, but you'd have to have a sensitive scale to see the difference. My postal scale would probably read 6 gm for both. If it's silver plated, the tissue test probably wouldn't help. Report this Post to the Staff
