i recently found a 1908 s Indian Head penny in a roll I purchased online. I can see the s mint mark clearly under light magnification. my oter s mint cents have bold mint marks is the weak one normal?

im sorry but I have not been able to get my pictures to post just wonderig if a weak mint is normal or notseems like if someone was going to fake one it wouldnt be weak

Maybe, it could be a strike through grease. No way to determine w/o photos

We are gonna need pictures to help steer you in the right direction.

Use the CCF Image tutorials to help you take, resize and post your pictures. One helpful hint is to SAVE your resized image back to your photo gallery and then attach THAT resized image to your posting.

Could there be a weak "s" mintmark? Sure. Grease Filled Die, weak strike, wear, damage are numerous possibilities but all will be questioned. Pictures are a must!
