Hi I just came across to this coin, doesn't have the usual FG. it is common for a 1974-D?

Not missing, it's still there, it might have just been over polishing.
Let COOP make a photo so you can see the comparison of your coin and a different one with a visible FG.

You can still see the outline of the FG.
Looks like it has been overpolished as stated
and possibly a Grease Filled Die. Not uncommon.

Remnants of an FG remain.

B/t/w and just for the record since this is the error/variety thread the '74-D KHD brings a nice premium if the RUS of TRUST displays hub doubling.

Agree over-polishing is the likely culprit.
