I had started a topic, " opinions are like papercuts, they at time hurt too......" and saw many statements and comments there. I woke up to see the topic has 2 pages of comments, I wanted to follow up with My own reply and saw My topic was locked, Could someone in their respectful time, allow Me the reason for locking My topic which was moved correctly to the proper Family Forum section, only to be locked, Thanking You for Your time, MD............

NEVER EVER not speak Your mind and NEVER EVER keep Your head down, This is America and to do those things is NOT the American way. Speak up, Be Kind and Always speak the way You wish to be spoken to........... Forums are to discuss topics, NOT to find out people are NOT free to speak their opinions and knowledge towards the object, a free and open discussion together with Your fellow peers, Oh, Say can You see..............

I saw your original post and thought it quite to the point and eloquent. I do not recall seeing the comments though. It must have been heading down a path that Admin felt was inappropriate? I don't know. Hopefully you can get an answer.

Edit: Keep in mind because I've heard this here on this site before.
It's their sandbox, we are just allowed to play in it.

I'm CRHing so my mind has a tendency to wander. I read your original post that is now locked and I don't understand either. It seemed like a benign sharing of 'opinions'. There has to be a reason though. Hopefully someone 'in the know' will chime in and clarify.

I think the Mods just felt the subject had played itself out. It's a coin forum, not Miss Manners.

I agree and we should practice good manners whether here or elsewhere.

Coinfrog, ? I do not understand, NOT miss manners.? That in and of itself is easily taken out of context and could be considered rude, NO, or was that Your intention? Could You please explain, Thank You. Good manners and speaking to people the way You would want to be spoken to is just Good for all concerned, I don't understand Your point. I would also appreciate an answer from someone of authority on the topic of why My topic was locked. I recall, being I have been on this forum for a long, long time, that IF a person's comments were disrespectful and or rude or leading to caustic discussions the "mods ' would offer up a comment on the last page as to WHY the topic was locked down, I know people and times change but really, Could someone other than a member Please explain, Thank You..... PS, Good manners and being polite NEVER go out of style.......

The topic got locked when the usual suspects kept trying to justify being rude. Not gonna let it continue. Being rude under the guise of "telling it like it is" or "shooting from the hip" or whatever other cutesy phrase you wanna use is NOT acceptable. You can tell members the truth without being rude. 99% of the posts here do. If you don't like what I'm telling you, tough. Now this one is locked too. I'm done. Be nice, or you won't post here. It's that simple. Save the drama for somewhere else.
