Where do I post this question.

Want to know about a graded silver eagle. But it looks old and possibly a fly by night service.

"National Certification Grading Service" and I don't believe its NGCs grading service.

Well you are correct, that is a fly by night service so the coin has no value above being raw. That is a very common date, and basically worth slightly more than the price of silver. It is not worth sending to a legitimate TPG since the coin is not worth the cost of grading.

No. Anyone can make their own slabs, AKA Basement slabs. It is not legitimate.

As noted above that is a basement slab and not from a legitimate grading service. The coin is worth about $20.

It depends on what the grade would be. If it was a 69 it would be worth including with a modern submission. If it was a 70 it would be worth over 1k. The early dates in 70 are valuable.

The chances of that one being a 70 are probably slim to none and a 69 might be out of the question too, but there is absolute a high grade market for these worth far more than the price of silver

The seller of that same coin (same picture) recently sold two for $206 each. He normally sells beer keg taps and cupcake items..enough said there

As was mentioned above early bullion ASE's in 70 grade are relatively hard to find and (NGC) 1986's sell for around $650-700

146,960 graded....2,208 are 70's and 141,534 are 69's

The NGC 69's sell for $40-55 and are pretty common
