vermontensium- hmm really, AU? I was thinking around EF. But I may be wrong. The odd thing is that I usually ask for second opinions in grading since I tend to over grade.
Well, I think that these coins often had strong strikes, and the green tone (which does not appear to be either verdigris or PVC damage) does not look the best. But one very nice feature that my scanner did not pick up is that there is some original luster around some of the lettering and around Britannia's head and shoulder.
That's a beautiful coin! I wish I had a few of these and could comment accurately, but it strikes me as a gEF at least. Maybe Numismatty is around to give a good opinion?
