I came across some old Roman coin? , can anyone help ID this coin and provide a potential value? thanks! now that the post was moved I think may be a Coin - Farthing, George I, Great Britain, 1720

Great Britain coin, probably King George III. See this link to help identify.

It is George I and will be either a Farthing or a halfpenny - need the diameter to be sure. I think the last two digits are 17, which will be 1717. FOr farthings this is a scarce date, but halfpennies more common.

thanks so much, the coin weighs 8.42 grams and looks like approx diameter is 1 inch.

It is a Halfpenny then, so not so scarce but still interesting. In that condition, not worth a great deal but if found in the US would have been an early colonist coin, so great history!
