So I have been picking up modern U.S. Commemoratives for the last year in hopes of completing a set. Mostly $1 silver, and occasionally a $5 gold if I can get a good price on them. The LCS near my work sets aside any new purchases they make for me to take a look at. Last week they made a big purchase and told me they had a few boxes full for me to take a look at. I only got through one box as I found 2 coins I just fell in love with that pretty much blew my budget for a while.
2000-W Library of Congress $10 Gold/Platinum Bi-Metallic in proof and BU. And a few $1 silvers. 2000-P BU Leif Ericson $1, 2001-P BU U.S. Capitol $1, 2002-W BU West Point $1, and the 2002-P BU Winter Olympics $1.
I agree, those bimetallics are really cool -- one of those was my first major purchase a few years ago when I resumed the hobby. A shame they're the only ones the US has made so far.
