I don't really have a habit as far as what time of day or what specific day I buy stuff off of ebay. In general I tend to end up getting the best buys on auctions that end in the middle of the week after 10PM CST. But I don't actively bid on these, I use a sniping program. I'll do a search for the specific coins I'm looking for and then put the auction numbers into the program and let it do it's thing. I check the results every other day or so to see what I need to pay for

what time of the day do you usually buy on ebay? Seconds before the auction endsand perhaps what particular day? The day the auction I am watching endsI don't think is any given time frame. But based on the number alot of ebay auctions end between 7-11 PM Eastern Time.

In the US, it's best to wait till 1 AM-2 AM -- hardly anyone else is on, and I usually save a lot of money!

I like to browse ebay but have never bought or sold anything. After reading and talking to people about their bad experiences I feel like I don't want to deal with hassle of coming across a crooked dealer. I also find ebay a bit overwhelming, there is too much stuff. I enjoy the personal contact at a coin shop or show and the interesting people you meet and above all....actually handling the coin before you buy. P.S.- It's amusing that ebay comes up as a misspelled word on the spellcheck!

It is very educational, there are some good photos, and it is an easily accessible source for calculating what the current market prices are. Either in the middle of the day, mid morning, or middle of the night. Never 6-10 EST. WORST time to buy, generally.

I agree with Sir Ferrari. I usually get home late from work, and generally hop on ebay at about 12am-2am. Some good deals can be found on auctions ending at these times. The coins I personally sell on ebay, I usually list at these times because it's convenient for me. I generally do 7 day auctions and make sure they go through the weekend for maximum viewage. I guess that's one of the advantages of getting to sleep in!

That's all me too.......never bought anything "online" at all......except through CCF and the U.S. Mint website.

The problem with that is when it is 2 AM in NY, it is only about 10 or 11 in California. Not sure how many hours different and really neve looked. As to bidding on ebay. So far never have.

The coins I buy are usually end during prime hours and mostly on weekdays. I've been using a sniping program lately.
