No idea, but there is at least some formal similarity to the following - although the imagery is far too abstract for me to understand what I'm seeing...where's is the ram's head?

@bob, you are describing Szego 164a (pfennig) or 164b (halbing). In the rotated image below, you can clearly see one ram's horn with a partial horn above it. Also visible is the eye, but not the left-facing nose and mouth.

I know all to well the dangers of disagreeing with your attributions, but the OP coin doesn't look like a great match to this design except for also having an eye and being uniface. With that said, nothing in Szego immediately jumps out as a solid match. I'll dig in a little deeper and see if I can find anything more likely. The later coins were more likely to be uniface, so I think mid to late 14th Century is correct regardless.

@wallet, ok well I have failed you.

I still don't think that is an image of a ram's head, but I can't find anything in Szego that is a better fit. I also checked my Frynas as there are some similar Bohemian pieces, but again nothing seems to match. I've checked both uniface and double-sided pieces to no avail.

Hopefully someone here can either confirm that @bob nailed it or else provide for a better attribution.

Well, I don't know about "clearly" but, yes, I do see it now, Dave. Thanks. As I said, I have no idea, but simply noted similar shapes - without seeing the subject matter. Obviously it's no match.
