Nothing amazing, just thought I'd show this coin because I've never seen such long plating bubbles.

I know. It would be nice to find a rim to rim die crack or LAM, but I haven't been so lucky to find one.

All too common these days, I'm afraid. Amazing the mint has been turning out this junk for over 35 years.

I agree coinfrog. The mint hasn't been very strict about the coins they're sending out.

I agree with Coinfrog in that Zincolns are junk altogether. However, plating bubbles (linear or not) can develop after the coin has left the Mint, so it is not necessarily a quality control issue. It's a design issue. I have seen some lovely Zincolns, but they are the exception, not the rule.
