I was wondering if any of the other members would be interested in making a trade list of people that have been traded with so people can build a good reputation among other members. We could create a master list on one post so before members make a trade, they can reference it and see if the member has traded with others before and whether or not it was a positive experience.

I have a lot of 'names', but I'm not sure if they want privacy, so I'll wait a bit :)

I don't think this is really needed. There would be hundreds of names on the list and I'm sure many members would like to keep their B/S/T to themselves.

If anyone on the forum is a Bad trader, they would be warned and banned..
So I assume all current members are good traders.
Rest in Peace

I have never had a bad deal/trade on CCF.

My apologies, I think.

Other boards I belong to have trader ratings listed
below your avatar or screen name when you post. I
like the style that uses a number of trades vs number
of positive ratings. So if you have 23 trades, all
positive... it would say "Trader rating: 23/23".

To rate, the rating member has to go to his 'user CP'
and type in the exact user name, then +or-, then link
it to a thread in the buy/sell/trade/auction area
to finalize it. This way you couldn't create 2 users
and just positive the heck out of yourself without
someone, either management or members, being able to
go back and see where you posted things and PM notifies.
Keeps it legit.
This way when you post, you see your user name, avatar,
location, post count, and a trader rating.

That said... I can live with it or without it. It's nice
to be sure, but not something I can't live without if
management doesn't have the capability for whatever reason.

Oh, there is no "buyer" or "seller" distinction.
It is just positive or negative, and both sides of the
transaction can rate, or not... Also, if a member wins
another member's auction, AND that auction was published
in a thread on the board... They can rate each other
within the board as well as through ebay, because there
is a thread of record for the transaction.

Just a thought...

If everyone would just use the heatware service, this would be quite easy. I've tried to get people using it, but I haven't been too successful.
