I am new to collecting and would like to know if this clad doin is an error coin. Look at the "In God we trust " is this collectable and is there any value to it. Please be patient with me. Thanks

@trumbull, first welcome to CCF. Second, it looks to me like this coin is showing the wear and tear of circulation rather than any mint error. The IGWT (and mintmark) look flattened plus the surface color is mottled from either chemical or environmental exposure. It looks like a spender to me.

Also, I see that you have posted this thread in the main coin area of CCF. I'll ask the mods to move it over to the modern US coin variety and error section of CCF. I definitely recommend that you hang out there and look at a page or two worth of prior threads as this should be quite instructive.

Looks like a well circulated coin. PMD
Take the advise Spence suggested and read through some of the other
listings in this Forum. You will find that over 90% of the listings are damage
as opposed to being errors. Knowing what is not an error is just as important
as knowing what is an errors

There's nothing special about this Quarter. Just shows heavy circulation wear and tear and Environmental Damage. It's a spender and worth 25 cents.
