Hello!

First let me say hi to you all. I just joined and this is my first post! Anyway, I'm a manager of a convenience store so I am looking for coins daily and happened to run into this one. Now the reason I don't think this is post mint damage is because of how perfect the oddity looks. As I'm sure you can tell the coin I'm referring to is on the right. There is no ridge/rim to it, nor is there reeding (grooves) around the entire coin. The other side however is completely normal. Any input or comments are much appreciated!

Thank you!!

To CCF! I'm sorry, but this is Post Strike Damage ( PSD). This cannot happen at the U.S. Mint. It's just not possible, since I know how the minting process works.

@JY, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes this dime is damaged. Sometimes coins that have been encased having worn down rims somewhat like this, but I'm thinking that someone used a belt sander on your coin instead. Either way, it can be safely spent.

Looks like part of the edge is removed. Note there is not rim on the coin. PSD
