Greetings all. I was an avid collector of replacement notes for many years. Life changes have me looking to downsize my collection. I thought I would start with selling my Journey notes. I'm interested in other members opinions on possible markets to sell these notes ? ebay is the obvious choice, but with hundreds of notes in my collection, it seems rather daunting. Are there any known dealers for Journey replacements/inserts ? Are there any private collectors, maybe on this forum ? As a former member of the old CPMF, it is great to find an online community of collectors here. I would appreciate the feedback of other collectors. Thanks

you can start here but I think the rules do not permit to post offers before 50 posts you can try on the other forum it is open now you may be more lucky.

Actually you need to be a member for 6 months and have 250 quality posts before you can sell on the CCF.

Quote: As a former member of the old CPMF, - I agree with "Regent" in that you should start from there (they're open now). Contact Admin if you lost your account since many members did. The other option is to try http://www.coinsandcanada.com/banknotes-prices.php-if you sign up you can post an ad that you're selling (plus they have a search engine which may give you a better idea of what Journey replacements are selling for). The other route would be to contact some of the bigger ebay sellers. These are mostly the "dealers" you ask about who sell Journey replacements. Fewer brick & mortar shops tend to carry them as they want material to move fast (& these don't) Finally, as a last resort, you could attend a show and ask around.

Quote: the old CPMF The Canadian Paper Money Forum is not that old. I believe it was created about 20 years ago and shut down temporarily (May 2018) and relaunched in July 2018 with new platform (& administration). If you are interested in collecting Canadian banknotes you can find a lot of detailed info there. Plus it also has the Serial Number Database which is a current database that gives collectors an idea of prefixes for banknotes printed from the Journey series till today. Got to: https://cdnpapermoney.com/index.php to learn more. After the CPMF temporarily shut down, CCF graciously started this section of their forum to help with the new addition of CDN CCF paper money collectors. You can read about that in the thread below: http://goccf.com/t/319331&SearchTerms=CPMF

I have had some $5 journey sheet replacement notes in UNC conditions found from bricks. I cannot seem to get anything more than face value when I go to brick and mortar dealers and even trade shows.
I truly do not know where the catalog gets it pricing from.
Hopefully others have a greater luck than I have had.

The problem with sheet replacement notes , some of those were on the market in big quantity decreasing the value ,and for the dealers it is too complicated to follow. you have more chance with SNR (single note replacement).
